13 Feb Innovation Director for Flavours & Fragances company
A Spanish family owned company engaged in the manufacture of fragances, flavours and animal feed additives with operations in 7 countries and sales offices in more than 40 countries, has created a new position in their Organization Chart named Innovation Director, with the aim of creating, formalizing and embedding Innovation throughout the Organisation, which employs already 600 people.
Reporting to the Group CEO, the newly created Innovation Director position is a key and critical position to their growth. One of the main goals of the role is to transform the company to a one with a culture known for Innovation. The Director of Innovation will be a catalyst to develop such culture.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership: proven ability to deliver value and ability to manage both breakthrough and incremental innovation. Collaborative creation of a rolling 5 year Innovation pipeline.
Strategy: Recognized leader in gauging environment; and ability to translate vision into action items. Develop, implement and manage organisational Innovation Strategy across the whole Group (headquarters and subsidiaries).
General Management: Ability to partner with the Business leaders to define project scope, strategic fit, develop innovation capabilities and resources, rollout ideas, best practices to source ideas and execute initiatives. Cross-fertilization of innovative ideas across different locations.

Education/Training Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science or equivalent and preferably Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Product Design, New Product Development, MBA or equivalent
PhD with an international profile and prestige
Fluent in English and Spanish and, preferably, French or German
Experience Required
Minimum 10 years working in a similar position for a food company or a technological centre, with minimum 7 years at a senior management level.
Proven track record of leading complex projects, multiple projects concurrently and successful navigation within a matrix organization.
